If I post ideas or thoughts online, then they become, I believe, public property unless I have protected the thought or idea with some legal device. If someone took a thought of mine and presented it as their own, I guess I would be flatttered. If they made money from it, I would be disappointed, certainly but sad that I was unable to make money myself from it. Perhaps if you gave me an example of what you are talking about, I could better answer your question.
